The Indianapolis Symphonic Band
performs over 15 concerts a year in outdoor venues and at the Warren Performing Arts Center. This year, 2018, the band begins its 63rd year of music.
The Indianapolis Symphonic Band is currently looking for a new conductor to lead the band. The band, which has a 60-year history in the Indianapolis area, is made up of both professional and highly skilled amateur local musicians. Rehearsals are generally on Tuesday evenings at Warren Central High School. The conductor would usually have 2-4 rehearsals in preparation for concerts. If you are interested in this position, please send your résumé to Steve Blanchard, President of the ISB Board of Directors at firstname.lastname@example.org. Auditions will consist of conducting several pieces at upcoming concerts. This is a volunteer position.
