About Us
The Indianapolis Symphonic Band (ISB) is a 60+ member concert band that performs a variety of music, including marches, musicals, overtures, and popular songs. As a volunteer ensemble, each musician in the group is dedicated to preserving the tradition and joy of live music. The band has been making great music and memories in the communities it serves for over 68 years.
Our Mission
The Indianapolis Symphonic Band represents and serves the community by providing year-round, free of charge, accessible band concerts throughout the Central Indiana area. Our mission is to promote artistic growth and support continued musical education to our members and our audiences.
Our Venues
The ISB performs at variety of venues each year. Spring and fall concerts are held at the Warren Performing Arts Center (WPAC). Summer concerts are primarily outdoors, with venues including Fort Ben, Garfield Park, and Speedway Park. The band has also been hosted at the Indiana State Museum.
